Fourth of July

Gabriella and I spent the morning entertaining Dominic with funny faces, rattles and musical instruments. Then we used our girl time to color and read. Her favorites are still Where the Wild Things Are and Fancy Nancy, but there are some new hits climbing the charts, too: Harold and the Purple Crayon and Kitten's First Full Moon.

Then Michael woke up after some much-needed extra sleep and whisked G away to the beach on Cape Cod where her grandparents and cousins were waiting.

Dominic and I spent the rest of the holiday on Newbury Street, shopping and eating outside, before coming home to watch He's Not That Into You. No wonder he's looking at me like this. I totally took advantage of his age by planning the perfect date ... for a girl.
