Storytime with Da.

Gabriella calls Michael "Da." Not "Dada." Not "Daddy." Just plain ole "Da."

So here she is enjoying storytime with Da and learning all about colors from her other two favorite guys, "Mo" (aka Elmo) and "Guh" (aka Grove).

Gabriella meets Eleanor and Charlie.

Eleanor and Charlie are the children of one of my dear long-lost friends. And Gabriella not only had a blast meeting them, she had a little too much fun with their toys as well.

Gabriella meets Lily and Ben.

Gabriella had a grand old time at this afternoon's barbecue with Lily (2) and Ben (5).

PS Check out who's sitting on the couch behind her.

Thanks, Uncle My-ko!

I love my birthday present and drew this picture of you to say thanks.

Love, your goddaughter, Gabriella (aka Lily Bean)

Baby Haimson

Gabriella gleefully plays with Baby Haimson on Castle Island, I mean, Crane's Beach.

Mamas who lunch!

When Tara, Gabriella and I go to lunch, we call it "ladies who lunch." This weekend, Seth joined us from LA so we enjoyed "mamas who lunch."

Life isn't fair.

I'm at work, and Michael sends me this picture from his camera phone of Gabriella and him on the Cape. No fair.

Gabriella meets Bunny

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Gabriella with one of my dear college friends, Wendy (aka Bunny), who paid us a visit this weekend. However, I did get the next best thing: these shots of Gabriella smiling coyly at Wendy through the camera lens.

Happy Birthday, USA!

We celebrated the fourth of July with Coldstone's ice cream, a visit to the park, dinner on the deck complete with a Hood blimp sighting and (after putting Gabriella to bed) the Boston Pops and fireworks on television.

Happy 70th Birthday, Granddad!

Gabriella paid a visit to her grandfather on the Cape yesterday to help ring in his eighth decade on the planet.

Back off!

This is story time with Daddy and I didn't see you get an invitation.

Who needs a handyman?

Not me. Not when I have a husband who is this ambitious and this flexible.
