Dominic and Max: Future BFFs

Dominic and Max first met in early April. Look at them now at four and (almost) nine months respectively.

And here's a behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot. Like herding cats, I tell you.

Dinosaur Drive-by

Gabriella is into dinosaurs these days, thanks in part to Barney. So I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when the first words out of her mouth this morning were, "I go see dinosaur, Mama?"

I knew exactly whom she meant. This guy. The life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex standing guard outside the Museum of Science.

So off we went--after breakfast, with Dominic in tow--for our first Dinosaur Drive-by. Windows down. Sunroof open. Barney CD in the player.

Cape Cod 2009

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our day trips to Cape Cod, which were filled with pizza and puzzles, starfish and sand castles.

Elvis Is Alive!

Or at least reincarnated.

Is it just me or are Dominic's bedroom eyes the bomb?

Fourth of July

Gabriella and I spent the morning entertaining Dominic with funny faces, rattles and musical instruments. Then we used our girl time to color and read. Her favorites are still Where the Wild Things Are and Fancy Nancy, but there are some new hits climbing the charts, too: Harold and the Purple Crayon and Kitten's First Full Moon.

Then Michael woke up after some much-needed extra sleep and whisked G away to the beach on Cape Cod where her grandparents and cousins were waiting.

Dominic and I spent the rest of the holiday on Newbury Street, shopping and eating outside, before coming home to watch He's Not That Into You. No wonder he's looking at me like this. I totally took advantage of his age by planning the perfect date ... for a girl.

If Elmo Had Teeth

Gabriella had her first nightmare last night: Elmo with teeth, yelling at her.

Heck, I'd be scared too.
